1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Random Encounter ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Random Encounter is a digital tabletop companion application for tabletop role-playing games. The Service provides tools for campaign management, character tracking, real-time chat, dice rolling, and AI-assisted game mastering features.

3. User Accounts

You must sign in with a valid Google account to use the Service. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create, including characters, campaigns, messages, and uploaded images. By using the Service, you grant us a license to store, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You agree not to upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

5. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features for game mastering assistance. AI-generated content is provided "as-is" and may not always be accurate or appropriate. The Dungeon Master retains full control over what AI suggestions are used in their campaigns.

6. Intellectual Property

Random Encounter and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Service operators. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast, Dungeons & Dragons, or any tabletop game publisher.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service without permission
• Use the Service to distribute malware or spam
• Impersonate other users or entities

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

9. Data & Privacy

Your campaign data, characters, and messages are stored securely. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We use Google OAuth for authentication and only access basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) necessary to provide the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or campaign content.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
